Your responsibilities and tasks:
SUMMARY
This position will provide the highest level of customer service and support to our customer base. Primary responsibility will be assisting customers with configuring, troubleshooting and maintaining C.I.P. systems, for the purpose of the customer to achieve the highest quality of milk for sale for human consumption. This position will work closely with the Dairy Direct Service Supervisor and represents the industry with a positive image. Support Dairy Direct Sales Specialist and provide customers with technical hygiene and sanitation support to assist your customers achieve the highest quality milk.
Essential Duties and Requirements include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Assess sanitation problems and related issues effectively and communicate to the Dairy Direct Sales Specialists and/or customers.
- Keeps accurate record of calls, including Wash Reports, Weekly call reports and document daily activities into CRM.
- Develop your skill set as a problem solver, milk quality specialist, consultant and hygiene professional.
- Return phone calls, texts and any correspondence to customers, co-workers and managers on a timely fashion. Phone calls and texts are to be returned by end of each working day. Emails and wash reports completed and posted within two working days unless specified.
- Understand customer’s goals for milk quality and assist them to achieve them by providing problem solving solutions.
- Manage your stock inventory and reconcile monthly. Assist with inventory audits.
- Complete necessary Service Request Approval forms, Order Forms, timecards, expense reports, and necessary agreements as directed by Supervisor.
- Assist with other necessary duties when requested.
- Communicate customer service needs pertaining to work and service important to milk quality to Supervisor and/or Co-workers.

- No degree required; 2-4 years of experience needed in farming and dairy.
- High level of communication, detailed record keeping and organizational skills.
- Complete understanding of GEA product offering and proper usage.
- Basic understanding of pulsation, milking systems and their relationship to milk harvest.
- Advanced understanding of CIP wash systems and on-farm milk quality troubleshooting.
- Advanced understanding of equipment that is on your customer’s dairies that pertain to GEA including and not limited to N-Charge, Intelliblend, Future Cow Teat prep system, dual blend and PLC wash controllers.
- Properly maintain company issued equipment including Pick-up, Computer, Tablets, Phone, Tri-scan and etc.
Work Environment:
This is 95% On-Farm field position and the functions of this job are to be carried out on farm locations. Day to day fluctuations may be modified and adjusted as deemed necessary. Any changes should be communicated with Supervisor.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

- The employee is required to be ambulatory; have a valid driver’s license: may need to remain seated for long periods of time; use hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and telephone keypad; reach with hands and arms.
- The employee may occasionally lift and/or move packaged inventory.
- The employee may be performing duties in a wet environment, where slip proof footwear is required and to be provided by the employee.
- Necessary Personal Protective Equipment will need to be worn and training will be provided.
- The employee will be performing duties on farm locations and will need wear appropriate and professional clothing. Company logo’ed shirts are to be worn when in front of the customer.
