Job Title: Technical Writer

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Technical Writer to create technical materials for our Health and Human Services/ Administration for Community Living service. As a Technical Writer, you will be responsible for producing equipment manuals, operating and maintenance instructions, and other technical materials to support our service.

Responsibilities:

• Write and edit technical materials such as equipment manuals, operating and maintenance instructions, and appendices
• Research and gather technical information from subject matter experts, engineering drawings, and other sources
• Organize and present technical information in a clear and concise manner for diverse audiences
• Collaborate with graphic designers and other technical staff to create effective visual aids and diagrams
• May assist in the layout work of technical materials, ensuring consistency and adherence to branding and style guidelines
• Maintain a working knowledge of our Health and Human Services/ Administration for Community Living service and its technical requirements

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree/ Master/ Ph.D. in technical writing, communication, or a related field
• Proven experience as a technical writer or in a similar role
• Strong writing and editing skills with the ability to translate technical information into clear, easy-to-understand language
• Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
• Familiarity with technical writing tools and software such as Adobe FrameMaker, Microsoft Visio, and HTML
• Knowledge of Health and Human Services/ Administration for Community Living and its technical requirements is preferred
