Position Description:
The Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Core takes a comprehensive approach to the care and study of issues related to cardiovascular and pulmonary dysfunction in individuals with spinal cord injury. We work collaboratively across multi-disciplinary research and clinical teams that include experts in neurology, gastroenterology, neurosurgery, and rehabilitative services. This Core studies cardiovascular dysregulation and recovery of cardiovascular function with epidural stimulation in persons with chronic spinal cord injury. The ability to work as a team member in a dynamic research environment is essential. Attention to detail and time management skills are desirable.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1.� Perform data acquisition to include calibration of all experimental equipment for human neurophysiology, cardiovascular, and neuromuscular projects.
2.� Collect, collate and analyze research experimental data.�
3.� Conduct data entry and analysis for specific sections of research projects.� Maintain records on tests performed and report findings to the supervisor.�
4.� Consolidate research information and prepare statistical summaries into charts and report formats.�
5.� Search records and collate research data for scientific reports.
6.� Perform related library research; preparing bibliographies and abstracts.�
7.� Assist in the design and modification of experimental techniques, preparation of grant, manuscript, and slide presentations.
Compensation will be commensurate to candidate experience.
