The Terminal Operator position is an operator level role reporting to the Facility Manager. The Terminal Operator focuses on loading and unloading railcars and trucks in a safe efficient manner. Terminal Operators are responsible for the safe operation of heavy equipment and basic maintenance and troubleshooting.

Pay Rate: $26.00 - $32.00 an hour, depending on experience.

Main accountabilities

Responsibilities include:

Unload railcars of liquid sweeteners and load/unload trucks. Operate loading systems at PLC, includes syrup sample analysis and documentation. 100% Participation in all safety training, daily safety meetings, and scheduled safety audits. Report all injuries and accidents immediately. Participate in the HACCP and Food Safety program. Know company goals and principles. Knowledge and adherence pf Ragus LLC Policies and procedures. Flexible and willing to work as scheduled including night shift, weekends, rotation / swing shift, holidays and overtime as needed. Knowledgeable of the hazards of inclement weather. Completion of Food Safety training and testing. Knowledge of startup and shut down procedures for equipment and systems. Able to trouble shoot and communicate any issues. Maintain Safety and GMP standards in the area. Give a clear well communicated and accurate turnover to the next shift. Complete daily documentation and management checklist. Knowledge of general rolls and facility care. Clear communication skills. Competent to work in MS Office products. SAP and CMMP experience a plus.

Physical Demands

This position requires the ability to safely perform the following tasks:

• Lifting of up to 55 pounds without mechanical assistance.
• Climb a vertical ladder up to 15ft
• Stand for up to1 hour without sitting
• Bending and twisting motion at the waist and knees
• Must be comfortable working outdoors and in all weather conditions: heat, cold, rain or windy.
• Ability to work a rotating shift schedule with the flexibility to work alternate schedules as needed.
