Job Responsibilities

• Review and analyze assigned test requests to determine if the laboratory has the capability to perform the test
• Confer with requesting activity to establish a common interpretation of test specifications and establish clear test objectives
• Maintain and schedule test facilities, methods, procedures, timing and equipment in HLIMS
• Upload POs, quotes, and other documents when needed
• Assist test engineers and engineering managers as required:
• Coordinate / direct the building of fixtures (if required) for use in testing
• Coordinate / direct the fabrication of special instrumentation or adapt existing testing facilities to accommodate new requirements
• Issue or modify local work instructions as needed
• Document all scope changes within the TR (from sample size / set points changes / etc.)
• Use HLIMS to document the test process (equipment, DM, personnel, timing, cost, results, etc.)
• Assist team with resolution of test equipment issues
• Use TETM database to document test / equipment issues as well as test/equipment improvements

Quality:

• Ensure all testing is conducted in compliance with applicable quality standards
• A2LA accredited testing to be performed in accordance with ISO / IEC 17025
• All testing to be performed in accordance with IATF 16949
• Ensure that equipment and instrumentation have the necessary quality & calibration checks
• Ensure proper use of critical consumables
• Support the development of the Company Labs quality system
• Support or direct proficiency testing
• Assist with maintaining any / all records required to demonstrate compliance with the quality system
• Assist with quality auditing processes throughout the lab (calibration, documentation, PT, MSA, training, etc.)

Test Development:

• Participate in the development of testing programs.
• Assist with writing specifications and projects for new equipment
• Catalog and file documentation for CapEx projects

Job Qualifications

• BS in Engineering discipline
• 1-5 years of applicable experience in a technical role within a testing environment
• Experience with making and maintaining schedules
