Responsibilities:This is a contingent position based upon customer approval.

• *As a SkyePoint employee you will be given the opportunity to support some of our nation’s most critical information systems by utilizing not only your existing cybersecurity skills and talents, but those that you will learn in your new role. In your new role as a cyber security professional, you will protect our customer’s most sensitive data and complex systems from all forms of threats including cyber-attacks, insider threats, rogue network devices, and malicious software and applications. You will work with a team of like-minded professionals to share and collaborate upon your ideas to improve the cybersecurity infrastructure, architecture, and configuration deployments. Your ideas and contributions will matter.

Qualifications:Qualified candidate will become part of the Department of State (DoS) Diplomatic Security Cyber Mission (DSCM) program providing leading cyber and technology security experience to enable innovative, effective and secure business processes. The DSCM program encompasses technical, engineering, data analytics, cyber security, management, operational, logistical and administrative support to aid and advise DoS Cyber & Technology Security (CTS) Directorate. This includes protecting a global cyber infrastructure comprising networks, systems, information, and mobile devices all while identifying and responding to cyber risks and threats. Those supporting the DSCM program strive to leverage their expert knowledge and propose creative solutions to real-world cybersecurity challenges. Based in Rosslyn, VA. This role supports the Indications and Warnings (I&W) team.

Position Description:*

• The I&W Program reviews and analyzes all cyber threat attack vectors that target DOS information, systems and personnel.
• I&W takes technical data of events and uses it for attribution, network defense, and reporting.
• I&W also utilizes trend analysis of cyber threat data to create geographical, historical, and other modeling that produces a focused picture of specific cyber threats.
• I&W provides proactive defensive capabilities that leverage modeling past and current cyber threat data to generate information that can be used to mitigate threats prior to ever being targeted by the threat.
• Perform pattern, trend, and behavior analysis, as well as other specialized analysis techniques to identify malicious cyber threat activity targeting DOS information, systems and personnel.
• Perform in-depth web log analysis to elucidate trends and patterns in malicious activity

Basic Qualifications*- To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:

• Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 2 year’ experience required. An additional 4 years of experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.
• Active Top Secret security clearance is required.
• Possess CND, CCNA, A+ CE, Net+ CE, SSCP or equivalent certification.
• Experience collecting, analyzing, and disseminating cyber threat intelligence gathered through open, proprietary, and collateral sources in order to provide assessments and briefings for its customers.
• Working knowledge in preparing assessments of current events based on the sophisticated collection, research and analysis of classified and open source information.
• Proficiency in collecting data via a combination of standard intelligence methods and business processes.
