I. Job Summary
Oversees employees and coordinates activities of the Tire Shop.
II. Identification of Job Functions
Essential Functions and Tasks:
Provides training, encouragement, advice, and feedback to Tire Shop employees. Assists in conducting
1) job interviews. Drafts and participates in presentation of employee reviews. Writes Tire Shop schedule.
Reviews employee time cards. 10%
2) Observes employee performance and paperwork to determine that proper department procedures are followed. Upholds safety and security procedures. 10%
3) Assists members with purchasing tires. Writes tire purchase and service invoice. Answers questions, makes recommendations, provides and insures prompt and courteous member service. 20%
4) Drives member vehicle into service bay, assists with tire install and rotation as necessary, performs torque checks, drives and parks member vehicle to lot after service. 25%
5) Communicates with Tire Shop Manager, Buyers, Receiving department, and Inventory Auditors regarding special orders, quantity, status, price, delivery, and promotion of merchandise. 2%
6) Upholds safety and security procedures. Follows release procedures, including a 10-point check, on tire installations to authorize auto release. 20%
7) Coordinates and performs preventative maintenance and arranges repairs for machinery and equipment.

8) Approves product refunds. Overrides and checks register codes. Verifies refund amount for certain types of warranties or returns of tires and auto batteries. 2%
9) Monitors cleanliness of sales area and shop. Coordinates and participates in cleaning. 5%
Non-Essential Functions and Tasks:
1) Assists with front end duties as necessary.
2) Assists in other departments of the warehouse as necessary.
III. Qualification Standards
Education/Training: High School Diploma or GED preferred.
Licenses/Certifications: Valid Driver’s License required. Must pass Costco Tire Certification test. Must pass Costco torque test.
Experience: Tire shop experience preferred.
Knowledge/Skills: Tire product knowledge, customer service preferred.
