Title Analyst

We have an opportunity for a Title Analyst to join our Covington or Shreveport office.

Responsibilities

• Responsibilities may vary widely as this position will span more than one business venture.
• Utilize local municipal websites to search for and determine various land ownership interests, including, but not limited to, mineral ownership and the locations of such owners.
• Examine title records from outside abstractors and seek additional information when necessary for complete and proper examination
• Analyze, interpret, and combine a title search information
• Prepare property reports and title commitments
• Perform in-house title information gathering, organizes and analyzes title documents to assess rights information, and performs internal title updates
• Communicate issues involving title, interpretation and contractual disputes to team lead and potentially assist in resolutions
• Meet aggressive deadlines and deliver a high-quality work product

Skills

• Must be self-motivated and able to work with little supervision
• Keen attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Clear and effective communication skills both orally and in writing
• Must possess strong organizational and analytical/problem-solving skills
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment and a proven ability to successfully prioritize and manage multiple tasks at the same time
• Outstanding accuracy and attention to detail
• Team player

Required Qualifications

• Proficient typing, computer skills and computer software (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) experience is required.
• Experience with document management systems (Google Drive, Drop Box, etc.)
• Must be available a minimum of 40 hours per week. There may be an occasional need to work extended hours during high workload periods.
• Experience in mortgage or title work

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Sonris
• Experience as Lease and Title Analyst
