Position Summary: Our small non-profit preschool in Longmont, CO is seeking a candidate who meets the Early Childhood Teacher (ECT) or Assistant Early Childhood Teacher (AECT) qualifications and has or can obtain their 3.0 Credential on the Professional Development Information System (PDIS) or higher qualified Early Childhood Teacher to fill a full-time teaching position.

Education and Qualifications: *MUST SHOW QUALIFICATIONS IN YOUR RESUME.*

• Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, Education, Human Development, or related field preferred
• Director Qualifications Certified (preferred)
• 3.0 Credential on the Professional Development Information System (PDIS)
• Must meet the Early Childhood Teacher (ECT) or Assistant Early Childhood Teacher (AECT) qualifications
• Group leader qualified
• General knowledge of the State of Colorado Child Care Licensing rules and regulations and county health department guidelines.
• CPR/First Aid Certification (preferred)

As an Early Childhood Educator, you will:

• Collaborate with co-teacher on a daily basis to bring authentic learning experiences to children
• Be a peer model for best practice in early childhood education
• Partner with children and guide their learning experiences
• Plan, document, and make learning visible
• Build relationships with families to foster a strong home-school partnership
• Collect objective observations to use with the Teaching Strategies Gold software for authentic assessment of children’s learning
• Facilitate parent teacher dialogues twice a year
• Keep appropriate records related to children
• Adhere to the COVID policies implemented by Aspen Center and recommended by the CDC, CDPHE, and Boulder County Public Health

• At least 1 year of classroom experience

• Experience working in a Reggio Emilia inspired context

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
