Responsible for:
Responsible for Automating and optimizing existing databases with Access and VBA
Developing Automation Tools in Excel, Access with and without VBA
Developing & maintaining Dashboards using Advanced Excel formulas using databases in Access / HTML sources
Creating user-friendly and stable Access Databases for long term tracking purposes
Performance measurement: Create and maintain efficient systems for recording data and producing relevant reporting
Performance analysis: analyze performance and make recommendations to optimize trades performance. (eg: analyze least paying cargo, analyze routings and suggest optimizations)
Enhance monitoring tools throughout trade team: Examine and evaluate purpose and content of trade reports to develop new, or improve existing format and use.
Flash / PFA / Budget: Prepare and follow trade Budget and Forecasts performance
Competition analysis: Monitor market developments and business trends and evaluate opportunities for network
Market collecting, analyzing and generating sales, trade and marketing reports to support the trade organizations and LATAM agencies as well as Senior Management requests in MRO or HO.
Reports represent key information for assessing current market conditions and monitor competitors and accurately reflect current volume production and performance. New responsibilities include the “model vessel” design that is key to identifying opportunities for revenue during the slack seasons. This model directly impacts MRO’s bottom line and is being used by both MRO and HO as a new tool for defining the parameters of pricing decisions.
Development and on-going enhancements of current Market reports, Financial Base , Booking Production Reports and Import/Export Production Reports provides Trades with the first on-going tools for performance management in time for agencies to accelerate securing cargo when ships become light.
This is key to MRO meeting targeted budget volumes.
This position is responsible for the JOC statistics and validation of the myPiers –web version of the. JOC statistics (PIERS) are an integral part to evaluating the market and MRO’s opportunities and this position is the lead on this development.
Accuracy and attention to detail is critical to ensure responsible decisions are made based on correct data projections and sales performance / volume lift and is adequately evaluated for positive or negative actions.
The Trade Reporting Analyst updates and designs presentations in PowerPoint or another program in order to present MRO performances, GA presentations, new products, service or as per Senior Management needs. Working with MRO Trades to take a concept and turn it into a clear visual presentation. Deadline driven, organized and understand how people view and understand content.
Responsible for Tariff Maintenance, update, filing and publish. Communication of any Trade related matter to the Network via Agencies Advisories, being surcharges, services changes, new products, etc.
Maintenance and enhancement of service portfolios and maps.
The Trade Market Analyst will be responsible for ensuring the team performs to the measures, standards and accuracy criteria established by MRO. KPI’s will be established and measured weekly to ensure conformance to delivering this important function to the operating environment to accurately perform service delivery for our customers
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
Commercial knowledge of export Trade markets
In depth understanding of CMA’s network and business flows
Knowledge of financial concepts and yield management principles
At least 2 years of experience in Database development and implementation using Microsoft Office Suite at an in-depth level (Access, Excel, SQL)
Must be expert in all aspects of Access for data management / database creation
Must have advanced level in Excel and VBA coding
Proficient computer skills to include all Microsoft applications ( Exceptional MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Access, MS SQL, MS ACCESS) and Oracle (LARA and OCEAN), Power Point, (Formulas, Pivot Tables, CAT Lookups, Database design/creation
Excellent analytical skills with proactive attitude
