Job Summary/Basic Functions

The Transfer Advisor /Senior Transfer Advisor will provide academic guidance and support to prospective and active transfer students as they explore postsecondary educational options and transition into EKU. This position provides accurate and concise transfer information to help students navigate general admission and academic pathways and gain familiarity with EKU resources, particularly throughout the first year of transition. The Transfer Success/Senior Transfer Advisor will also provide advising, recruitment, and enrollment support to the EKU Dual Credit program.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Bachelors in related field is required for Transfer Advisor

Master's is required for Senior Transfer Advisor

Experience: Three years experience in an academic advising, recruitment or admissions capacity required for Senior Transfer Advisor position.

One year of experience in an academic advising, recruitment or admissions capacity is required for Transfer Advisor position.

Experience to include a working knowledge of the structure of higher education and general Higher Education Policy & Procedures

Licensure & Certifications: Valid KY Driver's license

Preferred Qualifications:

Job Duties:

• 50% - Provides active student case management by effectively managing advising caseload, assisting with planning and delivering transfer student programming, and providing complete and accurate transition advising communications and planning while connecting incoming students to their academic units on campus. - (Essential)
• 30% - Educate pathway partners surrounding course equivalency, transfer admissions, essential financial aid guidance, and formal EKU pathway offerings. - (Essential)
• 10% - Assists with programming, advising, and registration of Dual Credit/Dual Enrollment High School students. - (Essential)
• 10% - Maintains accurate and thorough student, travel, and event documentation in university CRM and advising systems by participating in continuous training programs. - (Essential)
