JCI is a non-profit organization that provides services to individuals with disabilities or disadvantages for employment. We provide a variety of services to ensure that students with disabilities make a successful transition to adulthood. These services help students with disabilities train for employment, continue their education, or secure employment upon transitioning out of high school
As a Transition Services Coordinator, you will lead day to day operations and ensure that Transition Specialist teams provide quality services, meet performance expectations, and meet stakeholder satisfaction targets. You'll be responsible for providing ongoing guidance and support to Transition Specialists, identifying challenges or areas for improvement, and tailoring training opportunities to improve individual and team performance.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily operations and assigned staff to ensure quality service delivery and stakeholder satisfaction.
- Assign responsibilities and develop work plans with Transition Specialists to ensure performance expectations are met.
- Provide classroom and work based learning coverage as necessary.
- Target, recruit and enroll eligible youth and young adults for the preETS program.
- Ensure quality of services through ongoing modifications and improvements.
- Assist with the development of service delivery plans for assigned areas.
- Track and report progress towards established outcomes.
- Work collaboratively and cooperatively with project partners, including LEA, NCDVR, NCDSB, employers, etc. to ensure participants and project meet all established performance and collaborative expectations and targets.
- Maintain knowledge of program performance expectations and current trends in youth and workforce development.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Ability to communicate persuasively effectively in positive and negative situations.
- Ability to work independently with general supervision.
- Ability to maintain accurate and timely records.
- Proficient in word processing, spreadsheet and other programs and compiling statistical data.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in both oral and written form.
Education & Experience:
Required: Bachelor’s Degree and two years of related experience in workforce development, marketing or related field or combination of education/experience.
Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree and four years of related experience in workforce development, marketing or related field or combination of education/experience.
