Inside the Role
As part of the Detroit Diesel Remanufacturing team, you are responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to assembling and disassembly engines and multiple components. The candidate for this position will have a passion for process improvements, a keen eye to detail, and love numbers. This position offers:
  • Starting pay of $16.00/hr. up to top pay of $21.35/hr.*
  • Quarterly gainsharing bonus potential
  • additional shift differential for off-shifts

Job Overview
The successful candidate for this position will be responsible for assembling Manual Transmissions and multiple components and use equipment, machines, and defined processes for reuse in Remanufactured transmissions or products. Must be able to use hand tools, and air tools.
  • Able to lift & carry 50lbs.
  • Assemble transmissions
  • Operate torque wrenches, air tools, presses, gauges.
  • Properly identify component parts by learning identification numbers
  • Identify, inspect, scrap, repair, and sand components for diesel transmissions
  • Package materials as required to forward throughout production areas or customers
  • Must be willing to cross train within the department
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Mechanically inclined
  • Must be willing to work overtime as needed
