Pavestone LLC, a part of the QUIKRETE Companies, a manufacturer for concrete products for commercial, industrial, and retail customers, has an immediate opening for a Dispatcher located at our Tyrone, GA facility.

We are looking for a professional with at least one year of dispatching trucks and negotiating rates with carriers (preferably in a manufacturing environment). This person must be a self-starter who can learn and grow with us as we expand!

Responsibilities as Dispatcher:

• Responsible for setting up loads to be delivered our customers utilizing outside carriers (in the future, with our own trucks)
• Ensure on-time pick up performance
• Adhere to our company policies and procedures
• Utilize TMS system when trained on
• Coordinate with drivers, carrier drivers, and/or carrier dispatcher
• Ensure carriers report en-route as required
• Ensure on-time freight delivery
• Problem solve driver and/or carrier issues
• Adhere to all federal DOT safety regulations

Qualifications/Competencies:

• 1+ years Dispatching trucks
• Class C truck knowledge preferred
• Solid computer skills with high level of competence in the use of Microsoft Excel to track progress toward established goals for the trucking operations and generate reports that are concise, easily understood, and communicated to appropriate levels of the organization
• Excellent verbal and written skills to effectively interact with customers and/or drivers and with key management personnel within our assigned region
• Ability to utilize various transportation technologies, such as Transportation Management Systems; GPS; and Electronic Logging
• Understand the impact of transportation on customer service and work to improve delivery performance to meet or exceed the customer expectations.
• Previous manufacturing environment experience helpful, not required
