Summary:

Nisga’a MOSTT, LLC is looking for a Transportation Deployment Instructor to supervise and instruct students in assigned areas of career training and career development; to establish and maintain an orderly, safe, and well-disciplined classroom learning environment; and to perform other job-related duties as assigned. This person will support the Army Logistics University located in Fort Lee, Virginia. Its mission is to provide academic and tactical training services and support to the schools, colleges, the Directorate of Academic Affairs and Operations, and the ALU Support Battalion.

• Instruct students in the assigned technical education area of deployment and logistics.
• Maintain students’ awareness of industries’ employment needs and requirements.
• Instruct students in appropriate job-seeking and retention skills.
• Establish and maintain a well-disciplined and orderly classroom learning environment; observe and evaluate students’ work site performance.
• Establish and maintain safety policies and procedures for classrooms and work sites.
• Evaluate students’ performance by assessing needs, testing skills and knowledge, and then communicating results to the student; develop, update, and maintain students’ training/instructional plans.
• Evaluate, select, develop, and adapt a variety of appropriate instructional materials.
• Instruct students in appropriate entry-level job skills.
• Assist students in obtaining employment.
• Maintain a variety of complete and accurate records for necessary reports.
• May assist in the selection, supervision, and evaluation of assigned instructional assistants.
• Maintain and update occupational skills, appropriate industry awareness, and community involvement as it relates to the successful performance, and other required duties as assigned.
• Be responsible for maintaining a classroom ratio of 1:32 for up to 32 students.

• Skills to instruct students in assigned area of career training and career development.
• Knowledge of the deployment/distribution and logistics field.
• Knowledge of approved and effective techniques of student supervision, motivation, and discipline.
• Knowledge of approved and effective student testing and evaluation methods and techniques.
• Knowledge of appropriate curriculum and instructional materials for assigned subject area.
• Ability to demonstrate and teach deployment/distribution and logistics.
• Excellent communication skills

• Advanced Individual Training is a combination of classroom and field training with focus on learning techniques, procedures, and communications.

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum four (4) years of related experience
• Minimum three (3) years' experience teaching adult education courses

• Bachelor’s degree in logistics, transportation, or a related field.
