Job Purpose and Impact

The position of Senior Tropical Oil Trader will be an integral part of the GEOS and WTG Tropical Oils desks. The job profile will include responsibilities around US tropical oils cash trading, freight and logistics, flat price position management & identifying relative value opportunities. The Senior Tropical Oils Trader will be a trading domain specialist and conduct face to face and remote selling to both new and existing customers. In this role, you will independently generate income and control risks by performing more complex trading work, with a higher risk tolerance. Key Accountabilities

Apply a deep comprehension of trading practices and procedures to develop and execute tropical oils trading strategies and books based on speculative and hedged positions.
Monitor our team’s profit and loss on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
Independently handle and monitor higher trading positions and exposures. This role will be responsible for development and execution of WTG US extank cash and GEOS laurics flat price trading strategies.
Work with strategic brokers, customers, and agents, as needed, to manage and monitor higher risk trading positions.
Provide expert thought leadership in your field and work with limited direction, using additional research and interpretation to identify issues or problems. You may provide direction to supporting team members and be a strategic contributor.
Work with global trading, commercial & analyst teams to analyze markets/trade flows to build & maintain US SND.
Work closely with WTG and GEOS teams to align the US cash strategy and manage refinery pipelines.
Maintain accountability for smooth execution of US cash book ensuring close monitoring of inbound vessel and terminal logistics.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
Minimum of six years of related work experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Strong cash trading experience.
Experience managing complex supply chains and logistics.
Flat price trading experience.
Experience working across several functions and businesses.
Experience coaching and influencing others.
Experience managing supply and demand.
Experience managing key account customers.
Strong leadership skills relative to the experience level with capacity to further build/expand.
