S.G. Torrice Company is seeking a Warehouse Associate/Truck Driver, primarily responsible for receiving incoming shipments, putting away incoming shipments, and general housekeeping. In addition, the Warehouse Associate/Truck Driver is also responsible for delivering customer orders in a timely, accurate fashion.

Warehouse Associate/Truck Driver Qualifications:

• No prior experience or training required
• Basic language skills and fluency in English; ability to read and comprehend basic instructions and write basic correspondence and effectively present information to customers and company staff
• Basic mathematical skills; ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure including whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
• Basic reasoning ability; ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out written and oral instructions
• Basic computer skills; ability to learn/develop competency in the company’s customer system, eClipse, and American Standard parts lookup software
• Must be authorized to work in the United States and maintain a valid driver’s license
• Must be able to travel between corporate offices and remote branches and job sites as required
• Must obtain forklift certification
• Must be able to work a maximum of 40 hours weekly and overtime as required

Warehouse Associate/Truck Driver Job Responsibilities:

• Unloads incoming vendor shipments and branch transfers; notes damages, shortages, and discrepancies
• Checks incoming shipments against packing slips to assure shipment accuracy
• Puts stock away
• Maintains warehouse in a clean, neat, and safe condition
• Performs basic cleaning/maintenance/fabrication tasks such as cleaning warehouse, shoveling snow, stocking counter shelves, repairing damaged equipment, fabrication of filters and sheet metal fittings as needed
• Assists in physical inventories
• Assists with counter sales
• Picks orders for delivery and branch transfers as necessary
• Makes local deliveries as necessary
• Other duties as assigned
