The Two’s Teacher will provide a nurturing and safe environment for children ages 2-3 years old. They will also help develop and reach age appropriate milestones. They should possess high energy and the ability to handle the demands of all the children with different personalities and needs.

To ensure success, the assistant two’s teacher should display a gentle and nurturing personality, and the patience to assist each child to mature cognitively. They are required to help with any potty training skills as the children progress to that stage. They will also help maintain correct classroom supervision at all times.
Job Responsibilities

• Provide a safe and loving environment for all children in their care.

• Provide help with potty training as necessary.

• Assist classroom Lead with preparing and implementing lesson plans and activities.

• Guide children in their care through education/development programs.

• Think on their feet and respond to each child’s needs efficiently.

• Work closely with the Center Director to ensure that guidelines are adhered to.

• Keep a log of the day’s events for parents.

• Ensure close communication with parents throughout the day should the need arise.

• Work with other teachers in fulfilment of job duties.

Job Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Previous experience working in childcare preferred.

• Have a happy demeanor and love children.

• Be clean, neat, and a good role model for impressionable children.

• Have demonstrated knowledge of developmentally appropriate practice.

• The ability to lift and carry children frequently throughout the day, as well as get down on the floor to be at the children’s level

• Complete background check, TB test, and health assessment.
