The Staff Pad has partnered with a healthcare system in Hamilton, Texas that is seeking an Ultrasound Tech. This healthcare system stands at the forefront of rural Texas healthcare facilities with a 25-bed critical care licensed Critical Access Hospital, three primary care clinics, specialty clinics for behavioral health, general and orthopedic surgery, a wellness center, and EMS service, community-owned hospital provides a wide range of patient-focused care and treatment with a commitment to patient satisfaction.
Up to $90,000 per year

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
-Education: High school graduate or equivalent and graduate of an accredited program of Diagnostic Ultrasound Technology program required.
- Personal job-related skills: Knowledge of ultrasound equipment and effective oral and written communication skills.
- Licensure, registry, or certification: A current RDMS certification is required.
- Prior Work Experience: Minimum one (1) year experience as an Ultrasound Technician; two (2) years’ experience preferred.
-Technical Training: CPR training required. Training in the performance of/or additional training to be able to perform the following is required: Ability to maintain accurate department records, process reports, and perform exam scheduling. Exam/diagnosis coding is preferred.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Ability to work independently with minimal supervision unless direct supervision is required.
-Ensures the correct procedure is being performed on the patient.
-Instructs and prepares patient for procedure and assures proper positioning.
- Properly identifies cross-sectional anatomy and physiology to sufficiently pinpoint area of imaging with corresponding patient file.
-Transports patients to and from the department.
- Provides care appropriate for the neonate and the pediatric, adolescent and geriatric patients served based on demonstrated knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span.
- Assesses and interprets data on neonate and the pediatric, adolescent and geriatric patients’ status to identify patients’ requirements relative to their age-specific needs and provides care needed as stipulated in departmental policy.
- Prepares reports and maintains records as report scanning into P.A.C.S.
- Proficient use of the P.A.C.S.
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION:
- BLS Certification (Preferred)
- Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Certification (Required)
