Job Summary:

We are looking for a Relief Driver who is willing to fill in for all drivers who are on vacation and during our busy season. This driver would float between drop & hook and route.

When driving Drop and Hook, driver is responsible for safely operating a truck while providing prompt, courteous and complete tire recycling services for customers. Drivers will swap empty/full trailers at customer location or drop yards. Full trailers of tires are returned to our tire processing facilities for recycling.

When driving Route, driver is responsible for safely operating a truck, and providing prompt, courteous and complete tire removal services for customers. The driver will work with a helper to oversee daily collection of waste tire from different customer sites. Routes are assigned by dispatch; however, it is the responsibility of the driver to successfully manage the loading and transportation of waste tire to the home facility. Included in this position will be the responsibility to complete all DOT required paperwork and company paperwork at each collection site. Drivers may at times be responsible for transporting monies received at collection sites from customers who are on a cash only basis.

Salary:

**** Wages paid on a bi-weekly cycle****

$7,000 - Sign on bonus with a payout as follows:
$1,000 - paid following 30 days active employment
$1,500 - paid following 90 days active employment
$1,500 - paid following 180 days active employment
$3,000 - paid following 365 days active employment

Driver Qualifications:

• 22 years of age with Class A CDL
• Must have and maintain acceptable MVR in compliance with DOT
• 1 year of commercial driving experience or equivalent military experience
• Must pass post-offer background, DOT physical, company road test and drug test

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections on assigned equipment and report defects to dispatch through the completion of DVIR's; maintain clean, safe equipment.
• Upholding a high standard of customer service.
• Ensuring load is correctly placed and secure.
• Understand safe lifting techniques to load tires of all sizes (passenger vehicle, and truck tires).
• Lace passenger tires in a safe manner to reduce injury and optimize load.
• Must be capable of lifting 50 lbs. on a routine basis and 75+ lbs. with assistance.
• Willingness to work in various weather conditions.
• Maintain documents per DOT guidelines, ELD compliant
• Attend monthly Transportation Safety Meetings
