Overview

SageSure is seeking a highly motivated individual with the drive and desire to make significant contributions to the success of our company. The Underwriting Support Specialist will primarily be responsible for processing policy information in various platforms, generating notices to customers, as well as various other processing assignments based on current projects. This includes, but is not limited to, underwriting requests, work service requests and policy transactions. We are looking for an individual who enjoys information processing and desires to grow with our company.

What you'd be doing:

  • Review, fact-check and process policy change endorsements of applying and removing credits as necessary, including: Pending Agency Documents, Alarms Certificates, Dwelling Coverages, Fortified Home Credits and Schedule Personal Property Appraisals
  • Confirm all policies for which a credit has been applied have received correct documents and meet underwriting requirements
  • Process underwriting requests for coverage increases or decreases, applying correct information to policy based upon criteria of request
  • Process cancellation notices, including verifying that correct number of mail days have been applied and proof of mailing requirements have been met
  • Input Insurance scoring to policies where needed; evaluate if score causes increase or decrease in policy premium
  • Process customer name changes and mailing address changes for Insurance Score updates
  • Maintain accurate database of information; interpret and process inspection codes to determine next action step in workflow
  • Process return mail and accurately input return document information into policy database
  • Additional processing activities, as requested by management

We're looking for someone who has:

  • 1-2 years of processing experience. Computer skills in various applications including Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Professional telephone, email and communication skills
  • Work well in a dedicated and strong team environment
  • Quick typing skills, exceptional attention to detail and precision in performing tasks

  • High school diploma or equivalent work experience

Highly preferred candidates also have:

  • A Florida Customer Service Representative license.
  • 1+ years' experience in property & casualty insurance
  • 1+ years' relevant data processing experience
