Responsibilities:
Key Risk is looking for an enthusiastic individual who wants to learn our underwriting appetite and approach. The training program will include self-guided studies, management led tutorials, and shadowing territory underwriting managers in performance of their tasks and visits with agents to observe their interactions.
- Frequent interaction with agents, policyholders, and insurance rating organizations as necessary, to give and receive information, to market business, and to make presentations to promote company business and image.
- Frequent interaction with Client Service Executives, Risk Management Specialists, Regional Vice Presidents, IT staff, Policyholder Services Representatives, Premium Auditors, other Underwriters and functional areas as needed to give and receive information or to provide instruction and solve problems.
- Actively involved in development, such as pursuit of professional designations.
- Engagement with departmental team to complete projects and assignments.
- Successful completion of training plan.
- Utilizing skills and knowledge to provide innovated engagement.
- Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Risk Management & Insurance, Finance, Economics, or Mathematics.
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Curiosity and desire to learn and grow professionally.
- Committed to highest standards of ethical behavior, honesty and integrity
- Commitment to increasing knowledge of workers compensation.
