About the Role

As a member of the Investments team, the Valuations Manager, Investments will be reporting to the Vice President, Project Finance. The Valuations Manager, Investments must have a strong analytical and valuation background, a deep understanding of solar project value drivers, and an interest in state-level distributed generation incentives and market price trends. The ideal candidate will demonstrate an entrepreneurial passion for renewable energy development, maximizing value creation, and a desire to help Aspen achieve its near and long term objectives.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize Aspen’s analytical function, with a focus on valuation and the underlying investments model
• Prepare and maintain in-house view on market rates, valuation methodology and “credit box”
• Perform ad hoc scenario analysis with the goal of maximizing project and portfolio value creation (e.g., ITC vs PTC analysis, tax credit adders, etc.) and associated impacts on
• Holds relationships with market consultants and maintains pulse on ongoing trends in distributed generation
• Work closely with the Investments Team and its stakeholders to drive Aspen’s IC process

Minimum Candidate Requirements

Must be passionate about the renewable energy business, hardworking and thrive in the fast pace of a rapidly growing company. In addition, the candidate must possess:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business, or related field
• Renewable energy experience, ideally in distributed generation
• 4-6 years of experience working within a consulting firm, investment bank, project finance team, project developer, or investment platform
• Experience with tax equity and debt financing modeling
• Analytical problem solver who views obstacles as challenges
• Outstanding attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to prioritize and manage competing priorities
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Highly reliable and dependable

Location: New York/Remote

At Aspen Power, our work model includes three ways of working: virtual, in-person, and hybrid (a hybrid of in-person and virtual).

Compensation range

The salary range for this position is: $150K - $175K
