Job Summary

Fondren Pet Care is expanding! We are looking for an energetic Veterinary Technician to join our family today! Must be people-oriented and team-spirited.

Responsibilities and Duties

Duties Include:

-Assisting the doctor with medical procedures

-Monitor anesthetized patients and recovery

-Perform dental cleanings

-IV catheterization

-Laboratory procedures

-Performing and obtaining blood work, administer injections

-Taking radiographs

-Educated in the calibration of medication dosages & administration

-Taking pets history

-Reading cytology's

Qualifications and Skills

-Be able to lift up to 40lbs

-Hands on care of dogs and cats

-Client Communications

-OSHA regulations require anyone taking x-rays be 18 years of age or older.

Requirements Include:

-Minimum of 3 years+ experience as a Veterinary Technician

-Certified Veterinary Technician a plus

-Work as a team player

-Knowledge of Cornerstone Software and Idexx lab equipment

-Must be able to work Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays
