Vice President of Operations Job at DAVITA
This Vice President of Operations revolves around Value-Based Care (VBC) and is responsible for the general management and oversight of the clinical processes, programs, and services of DaVita IKC (Integrated Kidney Care).
This role leads our markets across Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and New York. The person selected for this role can be based/seated in the following areas:
Newark, NJ
New York City metro area
Philadelphia, PA
Central NJ
Anywhere between Philadelphia and NYC metro
This executive position provides operational leadership, counsel, and direction to the director and management staff to ensure safe, efficient, therapeutic, and ethical IKC care and services.
Additionally, this position works closely with operational and business leadership, providing clinical guidance supporting business results. The position has a budget and P&L accountability, including oversight of directors/senior directors with specific program ownership.
This position is a key member of DaVita IKC’s operational management team.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Leads the development and execution of clinical interventions to achieve clinical operational performance, outcomes, and services
Manage, develop, and train a team of clinical and non-clinical teammates
Maintains collaborative working relationships with all levels of management and physicians
Maintains awareness and knowledge of the assigned market and participates in internal and external business development meetings, as applicable
Participates in the development and management of clinical operations and capital budgets
Other duties as assigned
Travel: 25-30%
Leading approximately 5k lives as of now
Day-to-day activities include: physician relationship building, physician interaction, calling practices, meeting with practices, team management, huddle calls, core team management calls, various reports, monthly operating reviews, growing and develop IKC program and teammates
Ideal Candidate:
Value-based care (VBC) experience running an ACO
Physician interaction experience
Operational leader for clinical teams (have managed NPs, RNs, etc.)
Strong operations and business acumen yet engaging and fun culture-builder!
Education and Experience:
8-10 years of Operational Leadership; leading robust, regional teams
Experience managing budgets and driving metrics
Preferred experience in healthcare, particularly value-based care (VBC)
Masters degree required; preferred PharmD, MBA, or MPH

Salary/ Wage Range: base approximately $190,000 + bonus $100,000
