The Vice President of Talent Management is a key member of the HR Leadership Team and owns Breakthru’s comprehensive Talent strategy aimed at developing and attracting diverse talent for our future growth aspirations and delivering the business today. The ideal candidate for this role will bring an innovative approach rooted in depth of experience to evolve Breakthru’s talent management programs for the future. This position works in close partnership with other HR leaders such as Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, Total Rewards, and HR business partners to ensure talent strategies are integrated. Included within the ownership of this role is strategy and execution for Breakthru talent processes, succession planning, performance management, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, Associate Resource Groups and Corporate Social Responsibility. The VP Talent Management reports directly to the CHRO.
Position can also be performed in NYC.
- Shape the overarching talent strategy and design and execute programs in support of achieving this strategy including performance management and succession planning. Enroll business and HR leadership to own these talent programs and coach for success.
- Champion Breakthru’s integrated approach to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. Engage business leaders at all levels to ensure strong continued sponsorship of DE&I efforts. Partner closely with Talent Acquisition to deliver workforce planning and DE&I objectives.
- Lead the continued development and implementation of BBG’s Corporate Social Responsibility strategy consistent with the Company’s vision and mission and in partnership with Company ownership.
- In partnership with the VP Talent Acquisition, build strategies to expand diverse candidate pools and pipeline of diverse candidates for key roles.
- Leveraging talent data and analytics, develop measurements to evaluate the effectiveness and impact of our talent process, technology, and people.
- Other duties, as assigned by the jobholder’s supervisor, may also be required.
- Bachelor’s degree in related field and/or equivalent training and work experience
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in Human Resources positions related to talent or talent development, with 5 years in Talent functional leadership roles and direct experience leading Company-wide DE&I strategy
- Demonstrated experience innovating, developing, and executing Talent strategy in alignment with business and people strategy. Strong business acumen.
- Demonstrated experience as both a developer of talent and an inspirational leader who drives results and builds strong partnerships with HR and business leaders.
- Strong communications skills, and the ability to drive programs and results in a matrixed environment.
- Ability to develop a set of key metrics for measuring effectiveness of talent processes and outcomes. Demonstrated experience using analytics to create insights and drive decision making. Deep understanding of HRIS platforms and how to leverage technologies to drive effective talent processes and outcomes
- Advanced PC skills using MS Office and other various computer programs including presentation software
- Must be a results-oriented professional with verbal/written communication skills using diplomacy and discretion as well as customer service skills
- Utilize sound judgement and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in fast-paced, high-volume, team environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in related field
- Experience ideating and rolling out new-to-company talent processes
Physical Requirements:
