Job Summary
We are looking for a Supervisor to join our Insourcing Solutions team, located in New Haven, CT.

What you will do!
In the Supervisor role, you will participate in employee programs and activities and participate in the development and implementation of site-specific standard operating procedures (SOP's), in compliance with all state, federal and industry requirements. Work with other departments to coordinate the movement of animals throughout the facility and intake of new animals. You will also oversee adherence to site SOP's and all required documentation related to department and coordinate repair and general up-keep of physical environment in areas of responsibility. In addition, you will participate as required in the development of projections for equipment, supplies and personnel needed to effectively operate the research facilities in a manner consistent with the Guide for the Care and Use of Laboratory Animals and all local, state and federal requirements and actively interact with customers as required to solve customer requests, inquiries, and complaints and to provide technical assistance. Work with HR to investigate personnel issues and conduct interviews for placement of staff, act as liaison between scientific staff and support personnel.
Salary Range is $82,000 - $84,000 per year.
Job Qualifications
Who are we looking for?
A candidate that possesses Bachelor of Science in Animal Science or related field. Two to four years husbandry experience in a laboratory animal facility of which six to twelve months is supervisory or management. Demonstrated experience in the breeding care and husbandry of laboratory animal models required. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the education/experience requirements listed above. AALAS certification at the Laboratory Animal Technician level (LAT) or higher preferred.
