Join our team! NO CDL REQUIRED! Capital Sanitary Supply in Des Moines is looking for an individual to join our team for a warehouse and backup driver position, working Monday through Friday 6:00 am to 3:00 pm.

The main responsibilities for this position will be in the warehouse filling orders, verifying orders, putting away received freight, picking "will call" orders, and other duties as assigned. Some previous warehouse experience is required. Previous forklift and/or pallet jack experience is beneficial.

This position will also serve as a backup to our delivery drivers on an as needed basis. Valid driver's license and background check is required. CDL license is preferred but not necessary. Will train the right individual.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Valid driver's license required with good MVR record
• 1-2 years previous warehouse experience
• 1-2 years previous experience as delivery driver preferred
• Excellent vision and hand-eye coordination to stay safe while driving
• Ability to drive for extended periods of time
• Able to regularly move/lift up to 50 lbs and load/unload heavy cargo
• Strong time management, customer service, and communication skills
• Dependable and reliable work habits

Summary of Duties

• Accurately place and organize materials on shelves, in racks, or other designated storage areas
• Use RF scanner to pull inventory for orders
• Load, transport, and deliver items to customers or businesses in a safe, timely manner
• Review orders before and after delivery to ensure that orders are complete and the customer is satisfied
• Must be able to load and unload items from vehicles
• Obtain customer signatures and accept payments when necessary
• Provide excellent customer service
• Safely operate all necessary equipment such trucks, forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.
• Other responsibilities as assigned
