Job Description:

Candidate needs to have warehouse inventory control experience and be able to be stand-up forklift certified and cherry picker experience. Pay rate is $20.00

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Responsible for overseeing all inventory control activities within assigned branch
2. Develop mastery of Warehouse Management System (WMS) and operate as the Branch Subject Matter Expert (SME)
3. Responsible for maintaining inventory integrity within assigned branch
o Ensure branch is in compliance with Inventory Status Metrics
o Analyze Inventory Status and WMS Status results for process deficiencies and training opportunities
o In conjunction with Branch Manager and Warehouse Supervisor, develop plans to correct substandard performance
4. Oversee accuracy of Inbound Receipts and Outbound Shipments
5. Oversee and/or conduct cycle counts to include task driven counts, user initiated counts (random) and specific title requested counts
a. Broadly research & resolve inventory variances
b. Independently identify root causes of variances and collaborate with Branch Management to prevent recurrences
6. Execute Inventory Control Alerts (ICA’s) timely and accurately
7. Execute and/or oversee timely shipments of branch transfers
8. Follow Corporate processes for donations, damages and destructions
9. Oversee Monitor Process (if applicable) ensuring accuracy of data and completion of required monitors by fair type, by phase
10. Ensure line sets are completed accurately and timely to include but not limited to:
a. Mainline Schematic Titles
b. Supplemental Titles
c. All marketing materials and signage
d. Schematic Changes
11. Monitor and Manage On-Sale Date titles to ensure they are released at the correct time
12. Proactively and independently identify potential inventory shortages and communicate to Branch Manager
13. Support regionally prescribed methods for fulfilling backordered titles
14. Ensure Physical Inventory activity is executed according to documented processes
15. Ensure inventory is utilized as directed for Warehouse Sale Events
16. Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested; specifically, but not limited to direction provided from the Inventory Control Supervisor, Branch Managers or Corporate Leaders
17. Maintain confidentiality relative to pricing, promotion, distribution, inventory, customer lists and financial reports
18. Ability to effectively communicate with branch, regional and corporate leaders
19. Ability to proactively identify key issues and patterns from partial or conflicting data and provide recommended solutions
20. Act as a formal and informal resource for colleagues with less experience
21. Drug and alcohol-free policy compliance

Qualifications

JOB REQUIREMENTS

1. Must have a High school diploma or (GED) equivalent
2. Prefer 2-years inventory experience with a distribution company, in an inventory related position, with developed specialized skills through job-related training
3. Strong math and analytical skills
4. Strong written and verbal communications skills
5. Strong problem solving skills and detail orientation, with a high level of accuracy
6. Must be able to completes work with a limited degree of supervision
7. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. on an unassisted basis, repetitively
8. Previous experience/certification of power equipment operation preferred. Certification on all company equipment required
9. Must be able to work in a dynamic, fast paced distribution center environment
10. Proficiency in computer spreadsheets (Excel) and word processing (Word) required
11. Familiarity with computerized Inventory location systems is preferred
12. Working knowledge of inventory scanner systems is preferred
13. Occasional travel may be required
