Under the direction of the Operations Manager, the Warehouse Lead directs and coordinates activities of warehouse / delivery / logistics/ ecommerce department in ordering, receiving, storing, inventorying, issuing, and delivering products, materials, and supplies.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Oversees the daily movement of all inventory, including but limited to finished goods, packaging material and raw materials in and out of the warehouse or outside storage.
- Supervises the storage of inventory in the warehouse or outside storage, ensuring that the storage space is optimized.
- Prepares weekly work schedules and ensures that assignments are given to each employee.
- Maintains established QA standards for handling, storing, and delivering inventory and finished goods.
- Responsible for routing daily deliveries.
- Ensures that safety and risk rules are followed.
- Ensures that warehouse areas, equipment, and vehicles are properly maintained.
- Coordinates and supervises the loading and unloading of all shipments, including but limited to intercompany, international, and inter-island shipments.
- Coordinates deliveries and shipments with other departments, such as production, sales, customer service, etc.
- Responsible for coordinating in-transit transfers between facilities.
- Collaborates with other inventory stakeholders/participants (Sales & Marketing, Production, etc.) to determine and manage adjustments to inventory and forecasts.
- Assists in managing the operations side of the Shopify commerce site and supports the eCommerce Manager in Marketing.
- Develop and distribute timely forecast reports for all parties as needed.
- Attend forecast planning meetings, consensus meetings or Sales and Operation Planning (S&OP).
- Attends various meetings, such as but not limited to production, safety, etc.
- Schedules work for special and periodic inventories.
- Performs all duties and maintains all standards in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Performs other work-related duties as assigned.
- Regular attendance is required for the position.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Associates Degree in Business Administration or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Five (5) years of shipping, receiving, stock, inventory control and/or warehouse experience preferably in the food industry, including three (3) years supervisory experience.
- Must be able to drive a forklift and use other warehouse/production equipment.
- Must have a valid driver’s license, clean driving abstract and able to drive a van.
- Good verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
- Basic computer skills: Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.

- Frequent - Standing; walking; sitting; climbing; bending; forward reaching; twisting; side bending; overhead reach; grasping; use of hands, finger dexterity; eye-hand-foot coordination; handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; lift, carry and/or move up to 50 lbs. and talk or hear.
- Constant - Close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
COMMUNICATION DEMANDS:
- Occasional - The position requires talking to outside trade persons/vendors; verbal communication to outside trade persons/vendors; supervising others; written communication to co-workers; training/giving verbal instructions; visiting/working at different worksites.
- Frequent - The position requires talking to co-workers; talking on the telephone; responding to written or verbal requests of co-workers; receiving verbal instruction; receiving written instruction; writing/composing written language.
- Constant - The position requires reading, computer functions.
