Job Duties
JYF is seeking a Warehouse Lead to ensure continuity of operations at the centralized gift shop warehouse, particularly the accurate receipt, pricing, and distribution of merchandise. In addition, this position will assist in overall quality control process by ensuring that incoming merchandise meets established quality standards.
Minimum Qualifications
- Knowledge of warehouse procedures and inventory control principles.
- Skill in the operation of networked computer equipment as used in the warehouse and retail environment, as well as shipping and receiving processes and procedures.
- Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with staff as well as the public.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Successful candidate will be able to lift/move heavy boxes up to 70 pounds, climb and descend ladders with merchandise, work in adverse weather conditions, and work with hand tools. Must have a valid driver’s license.
Preferred Qualifications:
At least two years’ experience receiving and organizing merchandise in a high-volume warehouse or comparable retail environment is preferred.
