Description: The Warehouse Operations Manager oversees all warehouse operations by building a great team, developing and tracking KPIs to optimize throughput while balancing IPT priorities, and managing all aspects of the warehouse including suppliers, packaging materials and stock inventory. This person should have an eye for modernization and willingness to evaluate and adopt new systems and technologies to increase efficiency and minimize turnaround time. The Warehouse Operations Manager reports to the Sr. Director of Operations and is responsible for all warehouse-related activity and personnel in Dayton.

Duties include the following:

• Leads and manages a team of warehouse personnel who report into this position
• Works closely with Sr. Director of Operations and other senior managers in multiple locations on high-level organizational goals
• Identifies manpower needs and manages employee schedules and employee performance
• Delegates the preparation, packaging, and coordination of all shipments
• Manages training of all Warehouse personnel in job knowledge, equipment operation, and safety
• Uses data and Key Performance Indicators to manage process improvements
• Manages the organization, safety, and process-flow of all Warehouse operations
• Assumes financial responsibility for material purchases and provides approval to vendors
• Identifies inventory issues and initiates counter-measures
• Directs interaction with Customer inspections (DCMA, NAVSUP, etc.)
• Coordinates upstream with Sales team to manages shipping costs
• Has comprehensive knowledge of ISO9001:2015 requirements and is accountable for adherence to those requirements
• Occasional forklift duties
• Other tasks and projects as required

Qualifications

• Demonstrated 5+ years of excellent leadership skills, including the abilities to set goals, motivate and manage conflict. Great interpersonal skills
• Proven positive approach to solving problems strategically
• High comfort level working with technology and automation
• Good project management skills, including strong decision-making, problem-solving and strategic planning abilities
• Exceptional time management and organization skills
• Ability to see tasks and projects to completion
• Advanced level of attention to detail
• Driven to identify and correct root cause issues
• Able to spend some of the workday on your feet
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Thorough understanding of warehouse policies and procedures
• Familiarity with Mil-Pac packaging requirements
• Advanced knowledge of warehouse procedure and policy
• Forklift certified and able to certify others

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $72,000.00 per year
