Job Summary

The Warehouse Specialist I is responsible for executing tasks and responsibilities associated with general warehouse functions, including receipt, inspection, stocking, kitting, picking, packing, and shipping, of supplies, raw materials, subassemblies, and finished goods.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (fundamental job duties):

· Perform the following in accordance with standard procedures:

o Receiving: Process supplies, subassemblies, components and raw materials into the warehouse and stage for receiving inspection

o Kitting: Assemble parts needed to perform manufacturing functions to build finished devices

o Putaway: Physically place released items into proper inventory locations and ensure location(s) is/are aligned in the ERP system

o Order Fulfillment: Fulfill requests for finished goods, demo devices, training kits, wetlab and tradeshow supplies, including domestic, international, and 3PL replenishment requests

o Prepare shipments for transport to sterilization facility, including sterilization load paperwork, labeling, coordinating pickup, and tracking outbound and inbound status of load and samples to Nelson Labs

o Inventory accuracy: participate in cycle counts and inventory management activities as directed

o Process return to vendor shipments

o Track shipments from pickup to delivery—domestic and international

· Maintain cleanliness of work area in accordance with business processes

· Adhere to quality system processes and procedures

· Understand and apply 6S fundamentals

· Follow GDP when completing workorder, sterilization, shipping and receiving paperwork

· Develop understanding of Continuous Improvement concepts

· Provide input to Continuous Improvement efforts when applicable

· Duties may also include:

o Mobile microscope systems: Training new field representatives, troubleshooting and repair of system components, and managing Irvine in-house units

Required Qualifications:

· Ability to follow written procedures and instructions

· Must be flexible and able to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities

· Mechanical aptitude and good organizational skills

· Strong verbal (English) and interpersonal skill

· Ability to work independently and in a team environment

· Confident in bringing questions/concerns to the attention of Warehouse Lead

· Keen interest in continuous learning

Desired Qualifications:

· Previous experience in medical device with adherence to a quality system

· Experience in a warehouse environment

· Previous MRP of WMS usage

  • Computer skills in MS Word, Excel

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 1-2 years of warehouse experience, preferably in biomedical device field

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $21.00 per hour
