SO WHAT DOES A WAREHOUSE TEAM MEMBER DO?

This role requires you to multitask in all different functions of the warehouse, while working in a team setting to complete tasks in an efficient and accurate manner. Experience in shipping, receiving, picking (manual and forklift), and packing is needed to be successful, as one day to the next is never the same when it comes to day to day operations. You must be comfortable with being active and on your feet all day, as well. We are looking for a confident, fully engaged team player who is dedicated to bringing a positive and enthusiastic outlook to work each day.

Essential Duties of a Warehouse Team Member:

• Examine contents and compare with records such as purchase orders, orders, packing lists, manifests, or invoices, to verify accuracy of incoming or outgoing shipment.
• Prepare documents, such as bills of lading and shipping labels to route materials.
• Record shipment data, such as weight, charges, space availability, and damages and discrepancies, for reporting, accounting, and recordkeeping purposes.
• Determine shipping method for materials, using knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates.
• Deliver or route materials to departments, using work devices, such as hand truck, conveyor, or sorting bins.
• Pack, seal, label, and affix postage to prepare materials for shipping, using work devices such as hand tools and UPS or FedEx computer systems.
• Confer and correspond with establishment representatives to rectify problems, such as damages, shortages, and nonconformance to specifications.
• Requisition and store shipping materials and supplies to maintain inventory of stock.
• Contact carrier representative to make arrangements and to issue instructions for shipping and delivery of materials.
• Unpack received shipments and organize - transferring stock items to correct shelves.
• Accurately pick and pack customer orders within 24 hours of the printed packing list.
• Perform routine cycle counts to ensure inventory is correct. Address and correct incorrect inventory counts.

Qualifications:

• High School graduate or equivalent
• 1-3 years of warehouse experience preferred
• Shipping experience
• HazMat shipping experience preferred
• Familiar with warehousing software & easily adapts to new computer systems
• Positive attitude with a customer-focused mindset
• Shows initiative and enjoys working as a team
• Strong ability to work independently with little oversight
• Detail-oriented
• Safety-conscious
• Ability to safely lift 80 pounds

Pay Range: $18-22/hr

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
• Overtime
