Morris & Ritchie Associates, Inc. (MRA) is seeking an experienced WASTEWATER ENGINEER - PUMP STATION DESIGNER. This position can operate out of our office in New Castle, DE or Abingdon, MD. We will accept wastewater engineer candidates with 5 to 20 years of experience!

Established more than 40 years ago, Morris & Ritchie Associates, Inc.’s (MRA’s) architects, structural and civil/site engineers, land planners, landscape architects, and surveyors provide planning, design, and construction administration phase services for a wide range of projects throughout the mid-Atlantic and Carolinas. MRA’s projects include: office buildings, commercial and retail centers, business and industrial parks, residential communities, institutional facilities, and recreational facilities, as well as infrastructure design and improvement projects.

WASTEWATER ENGINEER - PUMP STATION DESIGNER Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the development and production of force mains, water booster stations and pump system analysis and design packages, including, but not limited to system head curves, pump intake design and pump station layout and design
• Support the Pump Station department manager by providing technical direction and oversight of pump system projects
• Collaborate with pump station / wastewater staff
• Effectively communicate with municipalities, contractors, clients and other outside stakeholders
• Preparation of construction documents, specifications, cost estimates, permit processing and construction phase services for pump station, water and wastewater projects

WASTEWATER ENGINEER / PUMP STATION DESIGNER Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering or related engineering degree
• 5 or more years of experience in the design and assessment of pump system projects. Salary commensurate with Experience!
• Strong technical background in pump hydraulics engineering, pump intake design, pumping equipment design, pump system design, and pump operation
• Active in Water and/or Wastewater professional organizations a plus
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or Civil 3D

Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
