White Glove Delivery Assistant Job at JAMES AIR CARGO
Job Description:
As a White Glove Delivery Assistant with James Air Cargo, you're not just a "delivery" person. You're a delivery professional who takes great pride in serving as a strong representative of our company, connecting people and their cargo. You'll work with a delivery driver (two-person delivery teams) to deliver a variety of home furnishings, exercise equipment and other miscellaneous household products to homes and businesses of our customers throughout Northeast Ohio. Prior to departing for your deliveries each morning, you will support our dock staff in helping to locate your freight for the day and staging items to prepare for your delivery route.

- Experience in moving and assembling furniture (preferred)
Requirements:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months of related experience and/or training equivalent.
- Basic knowledge and understanding of Furniture Assembly
- Professionalism is a must.
- General knowledge of basic math skills.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritizes, and manages time effectively.
- Must be fluent in, reading, writing, speak English.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule.
- Communicate effectively with internal company employees and clients while maintaining standards of professionalism and courtesy.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the job – sitting, standing, and lifting up to 12 hours a day.
- Regularly and repeatedly lift and/or move up to 50lbs, frequently lift and or/move up to 75lbs, and occasionally lift and/or move more than 150lbs with tools.
- Exhibits the ability to read and interpret orders.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to pass a company background check (past 10 years) and drug screen.
Schedule:
- Monday – Friday.
- Overtime is possible.
- Shift: Varies, but no overnights
