Youth Ministry Coordinator Job at The Archdiocese of Baltimore
Immaculate Conception Church in Towson is seeking a faith-filled, creative Coordinator of Youth Ministry to minister to and form middle and high school age students This is a full-time, benefit eligible position.
Job Responsibilities:
- Recruit, train and develop a team of volunteers to support all Youth Ministry Programs
- Coordinate, develop, implement and evaluate all Youth Ministry Programs, including Confirmation Preparation
- Prepare for weekly formation programs, such as EDGE (Middle School Ministry) and Life Teen (Sunday High School Ministry) and seasonal programs, such as Camp Smile, Annual Retreat, Peer Ministry and Core Team Training, etc.
- Collaborate with other ministries and Immaculate Conception School to build initiatives that deepen the understanding and practice of the Catholic faith
- Prepare communications for youth using various media, bulletin, Twitter, Facebook, etc
- Attend meetings as needed (e.g. staff meetings, Archdiocesan Youth and Young Adult Ministry meetings, etc.).
Job Requirements:
Qualifications:
- Must be a practicing Catholic who can participate fully in sacramental and parish life
- Must have excellent communication skills and be able to use various social media platforms to communicate with youth
- Bachelor's degree in Theology or a related field (or equivalent ministry experience) is required
- Must have extensive knowledge of the Catholic faith, an active prayer life and solid leadership skills
- Must be able to work evenings and weekend hours as needed
