The YMCA of Pierce and Kitsap Counties is seeking a Youth Sports Staff to join our team.

This position supports the work of the Y, a leading non-profit, charitable organization committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility.
The Youth Sports Staff performs and instructs class participants in various sports, games, and activities. Provides a quality experience to children and parents that focuses on the YMCA values: caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility.

Key Responsibilities:*

Lead and assist participants in skill development, game play, and activities appropriate for each age group.

• Encourage sportsmanship and teachable moments to implement our core values.
• Assist in creating age appropriate lesson plans to ensure fun, high-energy classes.
• Work alongside volunteers to assist with programming.

• Able to complete Child Abuse Prevention training on first day and other online or in-person training as required.

Wage: $15.74 - $17.74 per hour, depending on experience
Hours: Part-Time, Up to 25 hours per week
