This position is in-office and on-prem. WFH IS NOT AN OPTION!
Be the lead dog of a team consisting of 6-8 subordinates.
As a team, effectively provide a-z computer network design, implementation, maintenance, and technical support to our ~650 users distributed across ~50 sites (and growing). We design from scratch, manage, and support each of the aforementioned 50 networks and provide all tiers of computer tech support to the users at those locations.
As the Tier 3 Admin, you must have the necessary skillset to not only manage your team into completing extended projects and deployments, but also ensure a high level of customer service, professionalism and problem resolution. The environments are all Windows AD-based, however we also manage the firewalls, smart switches, vLANs, VPN's, smart cards, certificates, etc.; we're using HyperV virtualization extensively throughout all of our sites and security, segregation, and disaster recovery are all within our sphere of management.
WE ARE LOOKING FOR (requirements):
Applicant should have experience performing solo deployments of production-level windows servers from scratch. Building domains, configuring security, performing database migrations, configuring services and roles. Applicant must have demonstrated experience working in a team setting: completing their own tasks, while delegating tasks, supervising and mentoring subordinates. Aside from technical abilities, we are seeking a candidate that is familiar and comfortable working on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Minimum 5 years of compensated, full-time computer technical support experience. School/Class time can be used to substitute for up to two years of this requirement. (3 years real work experience in addition to your degree)
- Minimum 2 of those years with heavy exposure to:
- Windows Servers, Active Directory, administrative knowledge of databases, server backup systems, and everything else required to deploy, migrate, and troubleshoot servers.
- Firewalls, VPNs, deployment, managing rules, diagnosis, and troubleshooting.
- Virtualization and management of virtual machines (HyperV preferred)
- Core networking: in-depth understanding of subnetting, local DNS, DHCP, global DNS - MX, SPF, and email routing as it pertains to domain names.
- Office365 Exchange management.
- Smart Cards and PKI.
- Previous experience working at an MSP is highly preferred.

Interview process will be concluded with an in-person assessment where you will be asked to demonstrate your knowledge in real-world scenarios. HOURS:
We are here from 7:30am to 6pm M-F; your 8h shift will fit somewhere in there.
Person filling this position is expected to share rotations of carrying an on-call phone, which typically gets 1-2 off-hours calls per week but very rarely results in issues that require more than 15-30m.
As a Lead there will be times when emergent work bleeds into off-hours, or there are tasks that cannot be performed during production times. We foster a culture of teamwork where leads fairly share this kind of workload with an aim to keep it to a minimum.

You will be provided with a desk, a chair and office computer. Maybe a phone. A window from which squirrel sightings might take place, may or may not be available. If you require a red Swingline stapler, please bring your own.
