3rd Shift: Sun-Thurs, 10:15pm-6:15am

Summary: The maintenance technician position is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of Banker Wire goals and objectives.
Education: Associates Degree in mechanical, electrical or industrial maintenance or proven maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting
Requirements: Minimum 3 years of proven Maintenance experience, in a manufacturing setting
Skills and Qualifications:
- Knowledge and understanding of electrical diagrams (blueprints and schematics)
- Experience with hydraulic, pneumatic and circuit design
- Ability to trouble shoot electrical/ hydraulic issues
- Vehicle maintenance and mechanics preferred (auto, forklifts)
- PLC programming and associated hardware/wiring would be a bonus
- Mechanical and electrical knowledge of machines and tools, including their design, uses, repair and maintenance
- Hydraulic valve experience preferred
- Welding and fabrication preferred
- Experience with steel fabrication processes
- Machining skills
- Excellent communication, analytical and technical skills
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform highly diversified duties, in a fast-paced environment, to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility’s equipment
- Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and perform scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service
- Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical diagnostics, electrical diagnostics, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines
- Diagnose problems, replace, repair, test and adjust parts
- Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities
- Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties
- Inspect machinery in operation to assure proper functioning, including checking pressures and temperatures as required
- Locate source of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments.
- Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions
- Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00 - $68,000.00 per year
