Headquartered in South Haven, MI, and distribution facility in Salt Lake City, UT, US Tarp® designs, manufactures and distributes load containment and cargo protection tarping systems, controls, and tarps for commercial vehicle applications. The US Tarp® design team develops automated and manual systems for custom applications in the Construction & Landscaping, Agriculture, and the Recycling & Refuse markets. Our systems are used on commercial medium duty trucks, heavy duty tractor trailers, dump trucks and roll-off container handling equipment.

Operations employees working in the second shift department are responsible for producing quality US Tarp products. They are trained to use tools and equipment for cutting and sewing tarps; adding grommets and labels according to product design. In addition, they assist with the needs in other departments to ensure US Tarp products are produced and shipped on time.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

• Accurately measure and cut tarp materials.
• Read and interpret detailed instructions to ensure products are created efficiently and correctly.
• Sew all regular and custom tarps; integrate webbing and reinforcement to tarp as required.
• Accurately track and record daily sewing workload.
• Add labels, grommets, and other accessories to tarps.
• Deliver finished tarp to shipping.
• Assist in other areas of operations as requested.
• Other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

• Ability to read, write, perform simple arithmetic, and measure accurately.
• Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in production and documentation.
• Ability to understand and maintain quality and safety standards.
• Ability to detect problems and report information to appropriate channels.
