We are looking for an engaging and knowledgeable flight instructor to join the ranks of our cutting-edge flight school in West Chester, PA. You’ll be expected to provide private, instrument, commercial, transition, and recurrent training in our 2008 Diamond DA40. The airplane is wildly popular with students and an absolute joy to fly. Responsibilities

• Provide flight and ground instruction according to flight school syllabus requirements.
• Manage and track student progress with Brandywine Aviation training curriculum.
• Accurately record flight and ground training provided in student logbook.
• Conduct constructive preflight and post flight debriefings for all flights.
• Be responsible for all flight school aircraft movement on the ground and in flight.
• Ensure rental aircraft are appropriately fueled prior to each lesson.
• Endorse students for solo flights, knowledge tests, and check rides in accordance with Part 61 regulations.
• Attend monthly (or as required) instructor meetings and other company events.
• Report and detail all aircraft maintenance discrepancies.
• Respond to client phone calls, texts, and emails in a timely manner.
• Ensure TSA compliance for foreign students.
• Help to maintain fleet aircraft appearance to the highest level.

Requirements

• Possess and exhibit strong leadership, airmanship, and communication skills.
• Must hold a current FAA medical.
• CFI/CFII required.
• Glass cockpit experience a plus.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in an aviation field a plus.

Compensation

• Flight, Simulator, and Ground Instruction: $33-55 per hour based on experience. You’ll receive the same pay rate for time dedicated to instructor meetings, company events, and other company obligations.

Schedule

• This is a full-time in-person (not virtual) position.
• Typical schedule for days worked would be 8am-4:30pm or 11am-7:30pm with occasional attendance at evening events and meetings.'
