Position Summary
This position will maintain a wide variety of industrial equipment, machines and assemblies, as well as diagnose problems and makes necessary repairs and/or adjustments.

Key Duties And Responsibilities
- Make normal repairs on all plant machinery
- Operate any machine or machine tool in the Machine Shop and do any job on any machine, as requested
- Examine machinery and equipment for defects in operation, remove, repair and/or replace defective parts
- Use micrometers and make fits on bearings and other machine parts to specified tolerances
- Perform electric or acetylene welding on steel, cast iron, and bronze
- Perform minor electrical diagnostics and repairs
- Assist other workers in the Maintenance Department
- Instruct employees of lesser knowledge on jobs assigned by the Facilities, Lean & Sustainability, Production, and/or Crew Manager
- Maintain appropriate spare parts and supplies for Store Room and general maintenance area
- Provide fill-in assistance to the Production Department when staffing situations dictate

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Work Experience Required
A minimum of five years related manufacturing maintenance experience preferred
A minimum of five years related manufacturing maintenance experience preferred
Knowledge, Skills, Or Abilities Desired
- Strong communication skills (oral, written, and listening)
- Ability to perform basic math including reading a ruler, calculating percentage over and under runs, counting loads and adding number of pallets for a total order count
- Ability to read order specifications and complete (write) daily time and production paperwork
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic team environment
- Ability and experience to do repair/maintenance work on lift trucks and all types of plant machinery
- Ability to work extended daily and/or weekend schedules
