1st Step Learning Partners is hiring enthusiastic, energetic and creative Behavior Therapists to provide one-to-one and parent training Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services to children with Autism Spectrum Disorders and their families in home and community settings. Behavior Therapists are responsible for implementing Behavior Intervention Plans and skill acquisition goals designed and supervised by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).

Job Title: Behavior Therapist (Vietnamese-speaking and Spanish-speaking a plus, but not required).

Location: Fountain Valley, Garden Grove, Westminster, Santa Ana, and surrounding areas (North OC)

This position can be part-time or full-time depending on employee's availability and preferences. FLEXIBLE HOURS.

Compensation & Benefits:

-competitive hourly compensation: $18-$26 per hour depending on experience and education

- compensation for travel time and mileage between clients

- FREE supervision hours offered for individuals pursuing BCBA or BCaBA certification (No contract)

- flexible schedule

Responsibilities:

- provide quality 1:1 instruction to children with Autism in communication, social, play, and adaptive skills

- record objective daily data to reflect client progress toward goals

- maintain objective daily session notes

- maintain effective communication with team members and supervisors

Qualifications/Requirements:

- High school diploma. Some college credits in ABA, Psychology, Education, or other related field/Bachelor's degree a plus

- Vietnamese-speaking and Spanish-speaking a plus, but not required.

- Current California driver's license and reliable transportation

- Proof of car insurance

- Willingness to submit fingerprints for background check and pass the background check (Clear DOJ Fingerprint)

-TB clearance

- Ability to work with clients of varying ages and lift at least 20lbs; move, lift, or transfer clients; stand for extended periods; bend, kneel, crouch, walk, and run; use fine motor skills and dexterity in both hands, grasping, and holding

Pay: $18.00 - $26.00 per hour
