Role - HUNTING
This Account Executive in CTG is a new position created due to the team’s continuing success. The AE will be responsible for creating a wider business relationship within eight of Lumen’s largest customers in the cloud and technology space. The CTG AE will spend their day meeting with new decision makers at subsidiaries and business units that don’t currently have a relationship with Lumen and introducing our value proposition. The AE, armed with success stories of Lumen’s existing relationships in these accounts, will leverage the entire Lumen portfolio to capture wallet share from the many business units, subsidiaries, and decision makers with separate budgets.

Ability to influence the Lumen stakeholders and grow new revenue streams
Growth needs to be sourced from the existing customers, this position will be responsible for collaborating and inspiring the Lumen stakeholders to think differently and deliver for the needs of the Strategic Accounts.
The Main Responsibilities
- Hunt within the assigned account to create new relationships with decision makers in different organizations and subsidiaries
- Collaborate with engineering, client strategy, and business development to grow Lumen’s wallet share and create new revenue streams for Lumen by understanding how Lumen’s entire portfolio works together to drive customers’ business outcomes
- Partner with the Customer Success team to maintain and deliver long term revenue growth
- Develop and maintain account plans and detailed financial forecasts.
- Conduct accurate sales forecasting and achievement of sales targets.
- Seek to improve yourself and your performance every day and challenge your team to do the same
- Demonstrate Company’s values, maintain a positive open demeanor, encourage different points of view, move the team forward through change; provide timely information; communicate context for business decisions; recognize accomplishments; foster teamwork and collaboration.
What We Look For in a Candidate
- 5+ years of relevant technology industry experience, preferably in cybersecurity, SaaS, and/or managed and professional services.
- Strong sales background
- 3 to 5 years of business/financial experience
- Self-motivated and able to chart your own course. Open to feedback and advice, but understands established processes and norms are only guidelines, and that your success is in your own hands.
- Experience in consultative sales techniques and account planning including account profiling, account positioning strategy, customer needs analysis, sales opportunity development, service improvement planning, and long-range account management strategies.
- A clear track record for consistently exceeding sales and revenue goals.
- Experience winning as part of a high-performing team.
- High energy level and demonstrated drive to succeed
- Experience with Salesforce.com preferred.
- Demonstrated strong communication, written, and formal presentation skills as well as proficiency in selling to the close.
- Self-motivated, pro-active, results-oriented professional with an ability to work with minimum direction.
- Proficient in MS office products: Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- MBA or relevant degree
