Accountant Analyst Job at Ascend Vision Partners
Ascend Vision Partners is a rapidly growing ophthalmology management group expanding throughout the Southeastern United States. We are looking for candidates to join our team of dedicated professionals who are excited to work for a company that is expanding quickly.
Reporting to the Controller, the Accountant Analyst will have both technical accounting skills and a financial analyst background. He or she must possess the desire to learn and grow with a company that is rapidly expanding.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare month-end journal entries with well-documented support
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations
- Assist with accounts payable and payroll as needed
- Prepare entries, schedules, and requests for the annual audit
- Assist with integrating newly acquired practices into the parent company
- Assist with the preparation of the monthly financial and operating reporting package, including variance analysis
- Assist with the development of budgeting, forecasting, operating plans, and modeling tools
- Improve company performance by evaluating processes, monitoring indicators, highlighting trends, and analyzing causes of unexpected variances
- Present and analyze key data to provide accurate and timely financial recommendations to leadership for decision-making purposes
- Maintain financial and operational KPIs and executive dashboards
- Perform ad hoc analysis and special projects for the executive leadership team within the organization
- Assist with assembling PowerPoint presentations for the Board of Directors
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business
- 2+ years of accounting experience w/ strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles
- Highly Proficient in Microsoft Excel (functions, pivots, etc.)
- Ability to multitask
- Excellent communication skills
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Experience with Quickbooks and/or Netsuite a plus
