ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
· Responsible for performing various accounting duties, including managing the general ledger, accounts payable and receivable, and overseeing corporate accounting tasks.
· Help with quarterly and year-end financial audit activities and the annual corporate financial controls audit.
· Assess current practices and procedures and make recommendations for improvements.
· Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness.
· Adheres to general accounting practices (GAAP) for revenue, expenses, and receivables.
· Resolves inquiries from the field and corporate management, provides accounting guidance, implements, and maintains accounting systems, and conducts various ad-hoc projects as directed.
· Prepare, review, and approve select journal entries and account reconciliations and maintain a chart of accounts.
· Perform bank activities and weekly reconciliations.
· Prepare timely and accurate monthly and annual financial statements.
· Complete month-end and year-end closing activities.
· Assist in the preparation of quarterly reporting.
· Complete special projects and analyses in support of senior management as required.
· Provide leadership, supervision, and support to the accounting team.
· Analyze account information and ensure prompt and accurate data reconciliations.
· Serve as the main point of contact for external and internal customers.
· Prepare ad hoc reports and provide report data with status updates to the Director, Regional Controller and Group Controller.
· Support the entire accounting department by preparing and posting journal entries to the general ledger.
· Support cash and credit card reconciliations, leveraging bank deposit information.
· Prepare complex general ledger account reconciliations and analysis for receivable accounts as well as other accounts used to track sales and payment activity.
· Identify, research, and evaluate activity for inaccuracies, and initiates adjustments as needed.
· Work with external customers for invoicing, collections, dispute resolution, and account correspondence.
· Monitor and provide reporting on late cash deposits, providing advice to the field on remediation and escalating issues as necessary.
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:
· Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance. Graduate degree preferred.
· Minimum 5-10 years’ experience in accounting/finance.
· Experience in working with multiple legal entities.
· Experience with financial reporting requirements.
· Thorough knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
· Certified Public Accountant designation preferred.
· Public accounting and/or public company experience preferred.
· Mandarin fluent preferred.

· Proficient in accounting and tax preparation software.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
