We are currently recruiting for part-time/PRN Addiction Group Counselors to co-facilitate and/or cover group services at our various locations. Multiple shifts and locations available in Lorain County.

Summary:

This Addiction Group Counselor is a part-time clinical position which provides coverage for group services based on staffing needs. The Addiction Group Counselor may also provide co-facilitation for group services based on census needs.

Some clinical services are currently being provided via telehealth. In the event that in-person services are required, The LCADA Way is following all recommended health and safety guidelines during the COVID-19 pandemic. The health and safety of our staff and our customers is our top priority.

Essential Functions:

Delivery of clinical services including group counseling, intensive outpatient services, requesting urinalysis, non-medical community residential services, consultation, referral and information, intervention, outreach, crisis intervention, case management and adjunctive alcohol and drug services.

Completion of daily progress notes. Delivery of program components as assigned. Other duties as assigned.

General Requirements:

Must adhere to the Ohio Chemical Dependency Professionals Board's Chemical Dependency Code of Ethics, demonstrate an understanding of addiction as an illness, and have three years of treatment or recovery experience. Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. Good computer skills required. Must have the ability to effectively work with agency employees, outside contacts, and a diverse client population.

Educational Requirements:

Associate Degree or substantial progress towards Associate Degree with emphasis on Addictions Treatment and Prevention or equivalent required.

Certification Requirements:

CDCA required.

Amount of Travel: Minimal, mostly confined to local travel.

Hours: Part-time, PRN as needed for co-facilitation or coverage of staff call offs, vacations and open positions. Day and evening shifts available.

Salary Range: Salary commensurate with licensure and experience.
