Job Description:

Provides administrative support to either a team or individual. Duties may include fielding telephone calls, receiving and directing visitors, word processing, creating spreadsheets and presentations, and filing.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

· Assisting with service request forms that include name changes for individual or business, license cancellations, adding or deleting a DBA, and DOB or SS corrections

· Assisting with address changes when the producer or business is unable to do the change themselves in SIRCON or NIPR

· Triaging telephone calls and customer issues; routing to appropriate staff member for resolution

· Forwarding emails from Agency licensing email account that do not include Service Request Forms to the appropriate party

· Opening mail and disbursing to the appropriate licensing individual when needed

· Checking fax and scanning docs to email when needed

· Assisting with non-resident producer applications

· Assisting with processing other types of producer applications

· Performing other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

· Knowledge of basic English, written and spoken, and correct spelling and grammar;

· Knowledge of agency mission and objectives

· Basic computer skills

· Ability to handle business mathematics and public relations

· Eligibility to be bonded

· Ability to maintain confidentiality

Responsibility:
Work is carried out with specific instructions, follows established procedures with minimal supervision other than need for assistance in performance of duties. Work is reviewed upon completion but is subject to occasional checks for accuracy. Errors, carelessness, and incorrect decisions may result in substantial inconvenience to the employing department.

Personal Work Relationships:
Incumbent works with a wide range of persons including supervisor, other employees, insurance company representatives, educators, and administrators, and the public. Purpose of these relationships is to assure the accomplishment of duties and services, ascertain those specifications are met, check for accuracy or corrections of procedures, promote efficiency, facilitate good interpersonal staff relationships, and provide information.
