The Lead Program Specialist - Operations is an administrative position within our administration department at Head Start. This position requires a combination of analytical skills, computer skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills. Applicants should be able to multitask while maintaining high attention to detail. This position requires exceptional organizational skills and the ability to work independently as well as within a team. The ideal candidate will be dependable, be highly organized and able to successfully juggle a wide range of tasks. He or she should possess strong written and verbal communication skills, be a self-starter, have the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities:

  • Performs complex secretarial/clerical work for the Director and Coordinators using Microsoft Office Suite applications and other data entry programs.
  • Serve as a source of information for staff, families, and the community.
  • Provide back-up front desk receptionist duties.
  • Perform general department duties such as preparation of correspondence and editing and copying of documents.
  • Assist in coordination of special events.
  • Respond to classroom health needs and issues.
  • Handle day to day staffing issues.
  • Assist in organizing and supporting department meetings.
  • Assist with assignment of staff duties.
  • Assist and support the health team.

ACCAP conducts criminal background checks at the time of hire. Some positions require additional fingerprint and photo verification. Not all backgrounds are a barrier to employment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.90 - $16.39 per hour
